Here is the full list of highlights and important interventions that “played” during the three days last month in Glasgow, at the University of Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre. The organization has promised videos will be available soon, so you can re-live the experience!
There will be some presentations recorded which we will upload to our YouTube channel after the Moot. Watch this space for when they’re available. Thanks!

1. Martin Dougiamas, “Keynote address”
The Moodler opened with his classic chant about openness, the world’s most urgent needs, openness to tackle the world’s most urgent needs, and Moodle’s latest features. There was one twist that might not sit well with all old-time fans.

2. UCL, “Moodle Success Story”
Moot veteran Jessica Gramp expanded on last year’s intervention, introducing some elements of Flipped Learning, perhaps as a way to make feedback even more visible.

3. Catalyst IT, “Moodle Develop Me”
This UK partner reiterated his commitment with the Moodleverse at large. The organization boasts more than 30 plugins freely available on the Moodle Plugin directory and may have a chatbot coming soon?
Do you know that @Catalyst_IT_EU contributes to 34 plugins in Moodle? We've had a chat with them about their most popular ones #MootIEUK18 pic.twitter.com/a9y4WAGlt2

4. RCGP and CSO, “HealthMoot 2018”
Moot history buffs might remember there used to be a Health Care-themed MoodleMoot way back in 2014. Short of a revival, The Royal College of General Practitioners discussed the value of Moodle in patient impact, while Nicola Fern from the Christie School of Oncology talked Radiology T&A.

5. The Whole Moodle HQ Band, “GDPR“
Addressing GDPR was one of the most expected themes by newbies and devoted fans alike, and the team did not disappoint. Not only do the Data Privacy and Policy plugins feel ready for the main stage, they brought some happy surprises. Check out the slides here.

Useful to see that users will see the policies twice, with a summary the second time. Beats the usual approach of just scrolling to the bottom and blindly clicking 'Yes'. #mootieuk18 pic.twitter.com/CERBaB1jI3

Finally, Moodle produces a zip file with a clearly structured package containing all files and data. Boom. #mootieuk18 pic.twitter.com/PMjtIisyaf

6. Lord Provost, “Civil Reception”
Ending the day one activities, a return to protocol and Englishmen tradition.

7. Martin Dougiamas, “Moodle Envisioning”
Once again, the Moodler took the opportunity to gather direct feedback about Moodle.

10. The Moodleverse Choir, “Gamification + Integrations + Competencies + Collaboration + Learning Analytics + Mobile + Accessibility DevJam Blend\Mashup”
