In May, Moodle continues its campaign for more open source developers. Only this time, Moodle switches up the pace with a task-specific, short-term contract job. A full-time post in London and another contract offering an option for telecommuting complete this round of openings.
MoodleNet Technical Architect for Moodle HQ Barcelona
The highly anticipated MoodleNet plays it conservative with a six-month post for a “Technical Architect” whose duties resemble more those of a consultant than a full-time developer. Duties include:
- Full-stack development
- Advise on decisions regarding technology
The candidate might be allowed to telecommute to work, but as they are expected to work with UK-based MoodleNet lead Doug Belshaw, at least four hours of business hours overlap is required.
Theme and Plugin Development for multiple projects for NCSU
Three Moodle-related assignments at North Carolina State require one to three developers in contract-based positions. The developer(s) will: Update and customize brand elements with the “Boost” theme, conduct a big old plugins spring cleanup, and create a new plugin that brings “Facebook style” reactions to posts in the Moodle forums. Telecommuting is possible.
Totara and Moodle PHP Developer for Accipio London
A full-time, senior position is offered to a PHP developer with experience in Totara and Moodle. Experience in design for e-learning is critical. In addition to high-level technical duties, the candidate will also interact with clients in existing and new projects. The candidate must be knowledgeable in agile project management methods, scalability without compromising security, modern automated testing and debugging, and interest in new technologies with the willingness to try and eventually offer them to clients. UK-based Accipio focuses on learning systems for corporate customers and is a “full-range” Totara Partner.
