Moodle project releases a new major Moodle version every 6 months followed by minor version release every 2 months. The major version is equipped with all the new features and improvements where as the minor version are mainly focused on improving security and bug fixing.
Recently, Moodle core development team has released the minor versions for all currently supported branches. As of now, Moodle 3.3 & Moodle 3.4 are supported for general bug fixing where as Moodle 3.1 & 3.2 are supported for security fixes only.
The new minor version release includes some bug fixes, small improvements & fixed security vulnerabilities. It is recommended to upgrade your Moodle site to recent versions as soon as possible.
