The opportunities for new networking opportunities among EdTech professionals keep growing. They are, in fairness, due to increasing demand. An official MoodleMoot announcement shares a few details about just confirmed events: Moot US New Orleans, in July 25th-27th, and Moot US Florida, in November.
The New Orleans gathering, likely to be the largest MoodleMoot of the year, will take place alongside BbWorld, Blackboard’s annual US conference. Blackboard, through Moodlerooms, is Moodle’s largest official partner, with presence in at least three continents.
Moot US New Orleans currently holds an open call for presentations, ending May 8th. Available presentation formats are Short, Pico and Posters. Speakers must pay special registration fees.
Attending fees are in the ‘Early Bird’ period until April 21st. They apply for Higher Ed, Association and Corporation representatives, as K-12, Government and Military receive special rates with no special deadline (in parenthesis―see below):
- 3-day BbWorld + MoodleMoot: USD 750 (USD 550)
- 3-day BbWorld + DevCon + MoodleMoot: USD 1150 (USD 950)
- 1-day pass BbWorld + Moodlemoot: USD 475 (USD 475)
The second Moodle summit, MoodleMoot US 2017 Florida, has been announced for November, with pending details.
