The EdTech conference circuit is in full swing, and not unlike seasonal sports, it’s more fun when you are betting for a team. In three of the largest EdTech gatherings of the year so far, we’ve followed along with the coverage of Moodle.
LearnTec. Karlsruhe, Germany, January 24-26
The German-speaking conference and trade fair is celebrating its 25 years of promoting and providing “concrete solutions for imparting and managing knowledge“.
A talk by Tamara Rachbauer from the University of Passau covered possible Moodle integrations with WebQuest and QR codes. It took place on the afternoon of the 25th.
German Moodle Partner eLeDia had a stand, as did Synergy Learning.
Bett. London, January 25-28
Moodle HQ had a stand at the get-together of “ideas, practices and technologies” that will “fulfill educators and learners’ potentials”. (Totara, Mahara and) Moodle Partner Synergy Learning also was at the fair, showcasing LMS and their implementation partnerships with web conferencing service BigBlueButton and authoring tool Elucidat.
iSmart and TrainingMalta hosted a “Moodle for Techies [sic] and System Administrators Course“, where participants enjoyed a hands-on opportunity to install and personalize Moodle, and learn how to set up courses and manage users.
Learning Technologies. London, February 1-2
At the awards ceremony that took place within the event, the Cass Business School received an honorable place among the finalists in the “Best enterprise learning implementation category” with its intervention of the Snap Theme for Moodle, which we covered previously.
