The Morecandy Theme gives you a simple layout where you can try different HTML elements. The most notable of all is a “Carousel”, a gallery of images in perpetual scroll. The Carousel is available in the front page. It is editable through Moodle’s default text editor for teacher convenience.
If you are testing your web development skills, Morecandy is a sweet sandbox to play in. For up-and-coming learning startups, Morecandy provides a brandable template and promotes constant updates.
Updates made on August and September ensure compatibility with Moodle’s latest builds (3.0 and 3.1). This complements existing support for Moodle 2.9.
Mary Evans aka LazyDaisy is the lead maintainer of Morecandy. She is a moderator and an active presence of the Moodle Themes Forum. Among other things, she is known for providing shelter to themes whose developers are no longer around.
You can also check out the code and interact with it via GitHub.
