Despite the fanfare of Moodle 2.8 being released yesterday, it also marked the release for Moodle’s earlier active branches, 2.7.3, 2.6.6 and 2.5.9. The latter is the final release for the 2.5 branch, Moodle 2.6.6 is now supported for security fixes only. All Moodlers are advised to upgrade sites as soon as prudent. Moodle 2.7.3 brings a few functional changes to improve the usability of large discussion threads and calendar events (for hidden items). Other fixes and enhancements include correcting the XML grade import from a URL, displaying text editors in secure browser windows, and improving performance of the course overview block.
