While there are several live, synchronous meeting and capture tools on the market for Moodle (BigBlueButton, Blackboard Collaborate, Adobe Connect, WizIQ), there’s a new type of lecture capture system working on Moodle 1.9 and 2.0 integration via plugin: Echo360.  Echo360 does lecture capture and presentation slide organization so students can review a lecture as it was originally intended and understand the presentation slides in context.

Recently it was announced on Moodle.org that Netspot, an Aussie Moodle Partner is working with Echo360 to create the integration for Moodle 1.9 and 2.0.  We can expect the integration tools sometime late summer or Fall 2011.

The Echocenter, which is already integrated as a Blackboard building block for Blackboard Learn LMS, will be the focus of the integration.
