This post is based on a question by a commenter [link].  It’s a handy administrative resource that provides a quick overview of the resources and activities used on a particular Moodle site.  If you’re curious how many instances of the Wiki, Glossary, Forum or Quizzes are deployed/in use across your site go to “Manage Activities” for a quick quantitative overview.

  1. Login as Admin
  2. Go to Modules -> Activities -> Manage Activities
  3. Voila!  Each of the numbers next to the resource and activity will give you a short list of the courses where those activities/resources are used.

Pretty handy if you’re looking for some stats that make your Moodle look good to high-level administrators.
