Pardon the pun, but Moodlerooms (an official Moodle partner) recently unveiled their new Moodle extension, Joule through a presentation/webinar through Campus Technology (http://www.campustechnology.com).
According to their PRWeb release:
joule enables institutions and organizations to connect people, systems and data to make online learning more engaging and accountable. (PRWeb – November 3rd, 2009)
Tom Murdock, Moodlerooms President and Joe McAvoy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing both joined Linda Briggs of Campus Technology for the presentation which highlighted all of the possibilities and features that represent a major product push for Moodlerooms.
The author’s take on the software is that Joule extends Moodle beyond the standard installation by making it more flexible and adding new features (such as content sharing) which will come much closer to mainstream Moodlers with the release of a stable Moodle2.0.
The presentation archive can be found here: http://campustechnology.com/Webcasts/2009/11/Creating-a-Next-Generation-Learning-Management-Platform-with-Moodle.aspx
Moodlerooms is inviting individuals to get a demo of the product at their site.
