Originally scheduled for May, the Dutch-based “Moot” is now scheduled for October 6. The venue, High Tech Campus Eindhoven, self proclaims as the “world’s smartest square km.” If the circumstances do not allow for it, a virtual version will take place instead.

Among the highlights planned for Benelux is Bas Brands. Brands is Moodle’s Open Source Development Coordinator and will hold a Moodle Hackaton. Brands was also slated to preview Moodle 3.9 to the audience, but now his intervention should still make for a welcome release overview.

The conference aims to connect Dutch speakers everywhere, but the call is bilingual. Interested speakers can submit in English as well, before April 28. You may choose to present online regardless of whether it will be a virtual or in-person meet.

MoodleMoot Benelux is the work of Lesterhuis and Arnout Vree, Director of Avetica. They founded Stichting Mnet Benelux with the express purpose of organizing the Moot. Stichting Mnet Benelux is a non-profit organization operating through volunteers. According to a press release, “Both founders have had a heart for Moodle for years and believe that more knowledge about this powerful open source learning management system should be shared in the Netherlands and Flanders.”

Early bird discount runs until August 31. Interested in becoming become a speaker? The deadline is April 28. Schrijf je in!
