The “Crisp” theme is a minimalist theme that inherits most of the Boostrap framework’s best attributes. It is responsive, fully featured, and highly customizable, as we’ve come to expect from Arindam Gosh and the DualCube team.
The first interaction you have with “Crisp” once it’s successfully installed is a “New settings” kickoff page. Get your organization’s favicon and logo ready, as well as a set of brand-reinforcing images (the theme encourages you to use images as welcome and support messages) and an image to introduce the Forum and another for Group activities. You can update these theme’s attributes later on. Images will be displayed in a Home Page animated gallery.
“Crisp” offers a focus on white space on top, which invites user to think about the remaining options a little longer. Clickable content is promoted on top: Forums posts, Blogs and main course activities.
From the home or any other page, clicking on the gingerbread house tab will open a popular or bookmarked menu items. Reportedly it is also compatible with blocks. Clicking on the little fairy tale house will close the tab again with a dreamy fade out animation.
The latest release of “Crisp” extends its availability, now from Moodle 2.5 to 3.4. It also polishes a few issues with the course image slider. Install or download it from the Moodle Plugin directory here.
