The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at the University of Texas at Austin has launched this interesting initiative, with content in Portuguese, Spanish and English, catering to the digital skills the XXI century demands of journalists in our continent. Since the launch of the first MOOC, more than 155,000 enrollments have represented almost every country, not only the region. Interesting courses include:

It looks to raise the quality of mathematics teaching for students in grades 7-9 across Africa, with a curriculum aligned with the Government’s Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements. The materials are 100% free, designed for a tutor to guide their learners throughout a school year. Two courses also prepare students for South Africa’s university readiness tests:
