The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at the University of Texas at Austin has launched this interesting initiative, with content in Portuguese, Spanish and English, catering to the digital skills the XXI century demands of journalists in our continent. Since the launch of the first MOOC, more than 155,000 enrollments have represented almost every country, not only the region. Interesting courses include:
- Video Production for Journalists in the Digital Age (started October 22nd, still time to enroll)
- AI and Journalism (in Spanish, started October 22nd, still time to enroll)
- Data Visualization for Storytelling and Discovery (past, course materials available)

This South African NGO was a highlight of recently held MoodleMoot South Africa. It looks to raise the quality of mathematics teaching for students in grades 7-9 across Africa, with a curriculum aligned with the Government’s Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements. The materials are 100% free, designed for a tutor to guide their learners throughout a school year. Two courses also prepare students for South Africa’s university readiness tests:

A comprehensive assortment of courses is generously provided by the Moodle Users Association of Japan, or MAJ, in English and Japanese. They are available for download to be deployed into any Moodle site. The eclectic menu includes:
