The first MoodleMoot of South East Asia is finally here. This Thursday and Friday, April 26-27, this historic gathering of Moodlers in this vibrant corner of the world will kick off with the presence of the “Moodler” himself. Fresh off Glasgow, Martin Dougiamas will descend to Manila, Philippines, to share “Moodle Goals for the Future” as the opening keynote. The first day will continue with talks, forums, case studies, and the “Research Paper Award” closing the afternoon. The second day will be filled with “breakout sessions” taking place in five concurrent rooms at the Manila Hotel.

The organization of this landmark Moot came courtesy of Nephila Web Technology, which, just like the population in the region, is young, energetic, and “hungry” for learning. Nephila became an official Moodle Partner back in September, 2016. Here we see the team in action!

Other confirmed speakers include:

  • Stuart Mealor, Managing Director of New Zealand Moodle Partner HRDNZ
  • Blindside Networks (Moodle Premium Integrator) Fred Dixon, of BibBlueButton fame
  • Moodlerooms APAC’s Foong Yee Long
  • Creative Commons Philippines’ Michael Vernon Guerrero
  • Mozilla Philippines’ Robert Reyes
  • Sheryl Villaroman, Nephila CEO

All in all, there will be more than 30 presenters. See the complete roster and program at the MoodleMoot Philippines 2018 Nephila website.
