To bridge the informational gap between one of the world’s technology factories and the neighboring population, the government and corporations of Taiwan are working together to support the expansion of learning technologies for the public and the education sector. Seizing the opportunity, EdTech solutions company PosBoss Information Technology Corporation has become a Certified Moodle Partner, as announced at moodle.com. This makes PosBoss the first Taiwanese partner, although Chinese company Dandian has been serving the island since 2016.
Since 2010, PosBoss has built a reputation for “affordable and powerful learning technologies,” making the decision to adopt Moodle a reasonable one. Since then, customers like Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, along with an assortment of more than 50 industrial, medical, financial, and university organizations have praised PosBoss as a one-stop solution to online learning supported by Moodle, from LMS customized deployment to instructional content authoring and reselling.
The Taiwanese culture benefits from a small and dense population surrounding high-tech manufacturing facilities, so implementing a government-led technology transfer program is shifting the economy from one dependent on efficiency to one with innovation as its core driver. Taiwan already features world-class rates of literacy and standardized math test scores, plus a thriving startup culture that features a few EdTech successes.
