Clamp, Moodle’s Liberal Arts consortium, hosted ATAC, this week. ATAC is one of the few Moodle events focused primarily on IT administrators, rather than “end users.” Topics included the design, implementation, and support of the “academic technology ecosystems” across the following areas, among others:
- learning and content management systems
- competencies and assessment
- streaming media
- badges and credentialing
- enterprise data integrations
CLAMP’s Moodle Hack/Doc Fest Summer 2018 immediately follows ATAC, featuring open, more hands-on sessions Wednesday through Friday, June 27-29, 2018, also at Lafayette. Unlike previous Hack/Docs, online participation is no longer possible. The main course of the Hack/Doc Fest is Moodle 3.5, which will be reviewed towards an update on CLAMP’s own Moodle Liberal Arts Edition (Moodle LAE).
Back to “end user” conferences, Moodle HQ’s second largest gathering, MoodleMoot Spain 2018, also kicks off on Wednesday. As expected, Founder and CEO Martin Dougiamas will open the program, covering Individual, Corporate, Creativity and Analytics Learning. Developers will still find a practical space in the third day’s “Devjam” sessions, along with other Talleres (Workshops).
