Moodle has a powerful themes system that allows for a variety of effects through the use of HTML and CSS. Moodle 3.2 has introduced a brand new version of visually appealing theme – Boost based on Bootstrap 4. The new theme provides enormous opportunities for Moodle theme designers to harness the power of Bootstrap 4 framework. But how to learn about creating a new theme for Moodle 3.2 based on the Boost theme?

The tutorial referred above indeed creates a new working theme for Moodle 3.2 named Photo which can be downloaded from the Moodle plugins database here. The photo theme is a perfect example to show how to extend the Boost theme and provides useful settings like adding photo backgrounds to all pages.
