Are you using Moodle for language teaching? Creating each Moodle resource/activity in multiple languages can be a herculean task. Many thanks to Iñaki Arenaza & Julen Pardo for developing two great Moodle plugins. First one is the Multi Language content filter plugin and second one is the Atto plugin to go with it.
By default, Moodle also supports multi language content using the inbuilt Multi-language filter. However, it is a tough task to create multi-language content using it because of technical skills required. The teacher needs to be knowing about the basic HTML code for the same.

Introducing Multi-Language Content Filter (V2)

Welcome to the new Multi-Language Content filter (V2) developed by Iñaki Arenaza. This new filter plugin for Moodle makes it easy for teachers to create multi language content in Moodle. Simply, the teachers need to use the non-HTML tags to mark multi language blocks within the content.
To use it, simply create your content in multiple languages and enclose every language content between {mlang XX} and {mlang} tags, where XX is the Moodle short names for the language packs (i.e., en, fr, de, etc.).

Multi-Language Content Atto plugin

The second plugin i.e. Multi Language Content for Atto will help you in inserting those language tags easily without making any mistake. It will simply add a new icon in the Atto toolbar where you can select the language for entering multi language content.
I have tested both the plugins functionality and found them working like a charm. These two plugins joined together can help you in saving a lot of time editing and managing multi language content. These are the must have plugins for all Moodle language teachers.
What are the other ways to create multi-language content with Moodle? Have you used these plugins before? How was your experience? Do share with us in the comments section below.
