Moodle has upgraded the MoodleMoot app, a companion for the rainbow of destinations the official Moodle conferences offer year-long.
MoodleMoots have become important regional, and in some cases global, platforms to network, collaborate and share best practices in all things Moodle, Educational Technologies, and even platform-agnostic education, learning and pedagogy. Over time, the “Moots” have become launchpads for products, careers and startups.
The app is available for the two most popular mobile operative systems, plus a browser web app version. It includes all information to get to and around the events:
- Sign up details.
- Venue and conference rooms, with maps.
- The programmes.
- Presentations and speakers.
- Sponsors.
It also allows to set reminders for important dates throughout the event. Since most “Moots” have many sessions running concurrently, this will let you ensure you don’t miss your favorite talks and speakers.
And for the end of the presentations or the event whole, the app will allow you to rate the talks and the event, and provide the much valuable feedback the Moodleverse runs on.
The MoodleMoot app will prove itself throughout 2017, beginning on two of the biggest “Moots” of the year:
- MoodleMoot Japan Tochigi, to take place February 17th to 19th.
- MoodleMoot UK & Ireland London, to take place April 10th to 12th.
