Moodle has released minor (or 2-point) updates to its versions in active development: Moodle 3.3, 3.2 and 3.1. They are available for download at and GitHub.

Update to any of these versions is highly recommended, as some security vulnerabilities have been identified and fixed. Performing the upgrade is straightforward.

In addition to the security issues, fixes and improvements come with Moodle 3.3.1 and Moodle 3.2.4. Moodle 3.1, a Long Term Support (LTS) version, has completed its development cycle and will only receive security fixes.

Moodle 3.3.1 has made improvements to the Course Overview to hide tiles from courses that are not active. An issue in Quiz reporting was fixed that caused errors when downloading reports multiple sheets long. A number of performance improvements have been included as well.

Moodle 3.2.4 includes the same improvements from Moodle 3.3 on available features. But some of the Moodle 3.3 features have been extended to Moodle 3.2, such as full UTF-8 support for the MySQL Moodle database.

Once again, the contributions from volunteer developers all over the world owe a large part of the credit for this release. Moodle’s development pages offer a handy table to show the contributions of individuals to each version. Take a look at the table here.
