According to the definition at WikiPedia: Multi-Tenancy means: “The term “software multitenancy” refers to a software architecture in which a single instance of software runs on a server and serves multiple tenants.”
Multi-tenancy implementation in Moodle terminology means a single Moodle installation which can cater the requirements of many corporates with their own branding. Multi-tenancy is not supported by Moodle core so you will not be able to meet the requirements of catering the training requirements of different companies through a single platform.
Scottish Moodle Partner eLearn Design is behind the IOMAD project which is based on Moodle and provides you the ability to add the Multi-Tenancy support. Recently,  eLearn Design team announced the release of IOMAD 3.2 packed with many new features and improvements.
