HR Veteran With A Sweet Spot For Open Source Communities Wanted At Moodle HQ

The largest open source learning project to date continues to grow, and with it the exciting —if sometimes conflicting— ideas and practices that appear could use some alignment.

With the sizable task of developing an organizational culture aligned to core values, laws, and policies at once, Moodle HQ is looking for a “People and Culture Superstar.” The ideal candidate is an HR expert across fields including motivation; employee satisfaction and coaching; workplace legislation, regulations, and policy applicable to Australia; and performance management, review, and compensation.

Ten years or more of professional HR experience in a global context, with high scores in both computer and softer skills, are the main attributes of the desired candidate, who must reside or be willing to move to Perth and be able to legally work there. Moodle HQ offers a “competitive salary,” a “highly-skilled peer” environment, world travel opportunities, and a high-challenge, high-impact job.

To apply, first update your resume and create a cover letter. Make sure to soak up as much as you can from Moodle’s culture and Moodle HQ core values and future roadmap. If you are completely new to Moodle, an advisable way to kick things off is with the “Moodle Philosophy” followed with a couple of hours on the docs and the forum. Of course, coverage on Moodle HQ, particularly from our Governance section might be worthwhile as well.
