CLAMP Project Updates – New Moodle LAE Releases for 2.7.20, 3.0.10, 3.1.6, 3.2.3 available now @clamphq


CLAMP project – Collaborative Liberal Arts Moodle Project (CLAMP) – the group of colleges and universities who collaborate to develop and support Moodle for liberal arts environment. CLAMP is governed by a steering committee consisting of elected participants from seven member schools. Each school serves a three-year term with a staggered rotation for new schools serving each year.
Recently, the CLAMP project has released the new Moodle LAE releases for Moodle 3.2, 3.1, 3.0 and 2.7 branches. There are no new features added in the new releases as these are maintenance release only. The next stable release for Moodle 3.2 & 3.1 branches are scheduled in Mid-July. The LAE release for Moodle 3.3 will be evaluated during the upcoming Hack/doc fest at Hampshire college.

Upcoming Moodle Hack/Doc Fest Summer 2017:

This summer’s Moodle Hack/Doc Fest will be held Wednesday, June 21 through Friday, June 23, 2017 at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA. A pre-Hack/Doc documentation and coding sprint will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2017. The registration deadline is Thursday, June 1, 2017.

Steering Committee Nominations open:

Nominations are now open for new members of the Steering Committee and this year’s Recognition Awards. CLAMP is accepting nominations of member colleges to serve on the Steering Committee; terms are for three years. The deadline for submitting your nominations is June 1, 2017.
The nomination criteria are:

  • The institution must be a four-year liberal arts college or institution.
  • The institution must be a member of CLAMP
