Much of the excitement surrounding the release of Moodle 3.1 is focused on the core software itself, and the various new features and updates that have come along with it. And, rightly so. However, the Moodleverse’s richness is also dependent upon the wide variety of plugins that extend the functionality of the core. As such every major Moodle release is accompanied by a massive amount of energy related to the updating of these plugins. For those that were able to create Moodle 3.1 compatible versions of their plugin before the release date of the core, they have been awarded an Early Bird badge for their effort.
