Release of Moodle 3.2 has been delayed from its original release date. This also delayed the initial start of the Quality Assurance (QA) testing cycle. However QA for Moodle 3.2 is now in full swing. Rajesh Taneja, Moodle’s Test Automation Developer, made it official in a moodle.org thread.
The developers at Moodle HQ have created a list of all the aspects they would like the global Moodle community to test. It includes 500 testing tasks focusing on improvements and new features.
A prominent element for Moodle 3.2 is the “Boost” theme, which signals a departure and a roadmap in design and usability from previous versions. Testers must perform the tests in both “Boost” and the existing “Clean” themes.
To participate in the QA cycle for Moodle 3.2, send a message to Taneja on the Moodle.org forum. You can attempt your tests in your own installation, but to make it easier Moodle HQ has enabled the testing site qa.moodle.net.
Moodle 3.2 is scheduled to launch November 28th.
Read Taneja’s thread on Moodle.org. It includes the link to message him with your volunteering notice.
This November, send your comment to inspire others to participate in the Great Experiment and make our voices heard, by joining the Moodle 3.2 QA Cycle!
