We have been following the new developments with MoodleCloud since @Moodler’s announcement about the enhanced offering in his #mootieuk16 keynote a few weeks back. As recently announced on the Moodle HQ website, it looks like those enhancements are now officially a reality through Moodle For Schools.
The Moodle For Schools offerings for MoodleCloud are essentially an expansion of the original free service. The goal behind these offerings is to enable primary and secondary schools to easily adopt the Moodle platform for multiple classes with a “one click” purchase and set up process. The cloud service provides a theme that can be configured as well as a variety of popular teaching tools. As with any hosted service, Moodle takes care of all the upgrades and maintenance to ensure schools always have a stable platform with the latest and greatest versions of Moodle and associated plugins.
