Moodle can be used for hosting MOOC courses and National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) – India is utilizing Moodle for hosting all its MOOC courses.
Now, the NAARM team has came up with a brand new MOOC over “Competency Enhancement for Effective Teaching“. The 4 week MOOC course is focused for those who are actively engaged in teaching or at the beginning of career in teaching profession and aspiring teachers.
The course will run for 4 weeks from November 18th to December 15, 2016 and there will not be any registration fee for the course. The course helps in-service, young and aspiring faculty to become effective teachers by development of psycho-pedagogical competencies.

Course Outline

The course syllabus is divided into following topics:

  • Week-1 : Learning process and teaching & learning styles. Also covering Teacher centric and student centric teaching methods for quality education.
  • Week-2 : Basic elements & types of communication and tips for effective communication & presentation.
  • Week-3 : How to develop a good lesson plan and and how to teach with technology.
  • Week-4 : dimensions of students’ performance evaluation.
