New theme project for Moodle 3.2, which is the next big thing coming for Moodle from a user point of view, is now actively discussed among the Moodle community members to provide suggestions, feedback upon choosing a future proof platform.
Last week a community meeting was organized by Moodle HQ to facilitate the community members to share their opinions about the new theme project and set the directions for executing the project.
The project is meant to provide superior out-of-the-box experience in Moodle 3.2 along with a new theme infrastructure,  core changes to navigational elements.
Martin Dougiamas, CEO and founder of Moodle, also attended the meeting and shared his ideas about the new theme project. He suggests that the new theme should:

Post Pages - Post Inline - WIRIS
  • Look Modern & Stylish,
  • Give a feel that every one is looking for now a days,
  • Provides simplicity, &
  • doesn’t require Moodle plugins developers to bother about the theme related issues.
