Moodle 3.1, the next LTS version and much awaited release of Moodle LMS is under continuous integration period and the QA testing for the same will commence by this weekend.
UPDATE – Just now, Helen Foster has announced the commencement of QA testing from today onwards for a three week period as Moodle 3.1 is due for release in four weeks from now.
In a recent update, Eloy Lafuente posted about the updates on Moodle 3.1 features integration. The most important topics which I would like to highlight here are:
- CBE is integrated into Moodle core and can be tested once QA testing starts – MDL-53451,
- Improvements to the Assignment grading Interface is also integrated – MDL-52954,
- New dataformat plugin type to improve exporting of information – MDL-51603
- And many more in areas like forums, assignments, web services, usability, global search
The total number of tasks which are required to test the new functionality in Moodle is 522 which may be executed twice since the integration is not yet feature complete.
If you would also like to participate in QA testing of Moodle 3.1, then please check out this tracker link and earn a Moodle Tester’s badge.
