Moodle Community is always going to remain an awesome community with a lot of contributions to Moodle project coming from Moodle community members all around the world. Here is a recent contribution from Tony Butler – Moodle/Mahara developer for Lancaster University, UK for adding the collapsible PDF annotations to the assignment grading interface.
When new grading interface was released in Moodle 3.1, it got a lot of applause from the Moodle community but some users find it difficult to use. The annotated PDF comments tend to cover up large areas of the submitted text.

The new improvement submitted by Tony will allow PDF comments in assignment to be collapsible so not to obscure the content. The improvement will add an option to collapse each comment to a small marker icon when it is not selected for editing or viewing.
