Moodle.net is a great resource site to share all the free content and courses with other Moodle users all over the world. Recently Sarah Ashley – Instructional Designer at Rutgers University shared 6 database presets which allows you to create different varieties of Database activity in your Moodle course.
The presets share by Sarah are:
- Support Log/HelpDesk Ticket Tracker
- Private Dropbox for Clinical Rotation Journals
- Post-First Discussion Forum
- Course Resource Repository
- Student-built Webpages
- Community Service Log (with calculated total hours)
The database presets are compatible for Moodle 2.2 onwards and can be imported to your Moodle database activity by following these import steps.
During the last year’s MoodleMoot US 2015 -Sarah delivered a presentation on the topic – “Creative uses of Database activity” which is also a must watch presentation for all Moodlers who are not aware about the capabilities of the database activity.
If you also wants to share any course material or complete Moodle course with other Moodle users, you can post it on the Moodle.net website.
Have you ever used the Database activity module in your Moodle course? Share your creative ideas with us in the comments below.
