The Scheduler module is an appointment scheduler for planning face-to-face meetings between teachers and students in your Moodle course. Teachers can set up time slots, and students can choose one of these on Moodle. Teachers in turn can record the outcome of the meeting – and optionally a grade within the scheduler.
In the new version of the Scheduler activity which is compatible for Moodle 2.9 also, the changes are as follows:
New features: Students can now be allowed to book several slots at a time. “Volatile slots” replaced with “guard time” – students cannot change their booking for slots closer than this time to the current time.
Feature changes: “Notes” field will now be shown to students at booking time.
Refactoring / API changes: Major refactoring of teacher view (slot list), student view (booking screen), teacher view of individual appointments, as well as of the backend.
Security enhancements (sessionid parameter now used throughout).
Adapted to changes in core API and to the new logging/event system (Event 2).

  1. I created a scheduler activity but the students can only sign up for 1 appointment. I have it set to unlimited in this scheduler?

  2. Hi Megan, When you are adding the Scheduler activity in your course, then please check the value mentioned under the settings labeled ” Mode”. It should be more than “1” (whatever you want) and “at a time” to let students select multiple appointments in one go.
Let me know if you need more help.
