A lot of times you want to insert an image in your moodle course but you have to attribute the image to the original copyright holder. Here comes the new repository plugin “Upload and attribute a file (Xpert)” which will help you to easily upload and attribute the file to the copyright holder in a few easy clicks.
Upload and attribute a file (Xpert) repository plugin is available for Moodle 2.6 onwards and currently maintained by The University of Nottingham.

The ‘Upload and attribute a file (Xpert)’ repository is heavily based on the core  ‘Upload a file ‘repository plugin. The main difference is that it allows a user to attribute the uploaded image to the copyright holder.  This is accomplished by appending the chosen license’s icon, the copyright year, URL and author name to the bottom of the image.

The size of the image is determined by a dropdown menu at the upload stage with small, medium (standard) and large options. The background and text colour of the appended copyright information can be chosen from a predefined list of options.
