For the 9th year Moodle is participating in the Google Summer of Code which is a community effort designed to connect student coders with open source projects world wide. As part of the program students are given a mentor at the participating organization and a stipend to fund their time and effort.
Past projects of the GSoC include:
- Flavours – a way to backup and import administrative settings between sites
- Timeline course format
- Self-assessment Activity – a way for students to assess themselves using the test bank
- Course search
