Three students have been accepted for mentorship during the Google Summer of Code by Moodlers. Ramindu Deshapriya, Harindu Korala, and Mihir Thakkar will be working on projects to advance the open source LMS for the next few months.
The projects they will be working on are were selected from those listed for new developers (https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Projects_for_new_developers). They are,
- Moorsp Plagiarism Plugin – A really simple Plagiarism tool for Moodle originally created by Dan Marsden
- Javascript basic SCORM 1.2 player for mobile – which aims to fix and package a mobile friendly version of the SCORM player <link>
- Improvements to the enrol_meta plugin – which aims to improve the usability of the Meta course links which can be used to sync enrollments between courses easily <link>
Congratulations to Harindu, Ramindu, and Mihir! I look forward to watching the project progress.
