Generico Filter is a very popular plugin in the Moodle plugins database which can do amazing things in your Moodle course by usage of text and code snippets.
Generico filter can be used to create different ad-hoc template purposes where writing a new plugin would be overkill, or just for re-using common pieces of text. It can be used to centralise and manage the embedding of iframe content from video hosting services, and educational app providers.
Andy Chaplin has started a forum thread in Moodle Forums to create a collection of the Generico Filter usage examples which includes great uses like creating Moodle Cloud style post-it notes, CourseBanner- slim slider at the top of a course, Bootstrap button maker, thinglink generico template etc.

If you are also using the Generico in your Moodle course for something special purpose, then you can share the same with Moodle community by posting in the forum thread.
