Bas Brands recently posted on Moodle.org that an update for Elegance to Moodle 2.9 is in the Alpha stage and they are seeking people to help by installing and trying it out. He says:

My goal is to create a stable version with clean code and a nice basic style. Then continue adding nice (bootstrap) widgets and fun bits in beta release for those that like to work with the more experimental stuff.

You can download the Elegant theme here.

UPDATE: Looks like we were a little late to the game on this post – the Elegance theme has been updated and released for Moodle 2.9. However they are still looking for feedback, so please do chime in!
