United for Wildlife, a UK foundation for conservation and wildlife preservation, had one of the best Moodle sites that I have seen on the web. The site hosts a MOOC like experience which is free. The open course provides you with video, reflection questions, self-checks, and additional information as you work to gain a better understanding of conservation in today’s world.
The content is compelling and easy to navigate. The Moodle is not like another Moodle I have seen. Navigation is broken down with a left hand side menu as students progress through pages of resources and activities which are tied together in sequence. Other resources like your badge collection and discussions are easily accessed as well.
Hat tip to Moodlefacts.nl for highlighting the site originally. The site is designed by floream* a London-based online learning design and hosting company.
I think you’ll agree that it is a pretty amazing site. Check out/register for the open course here: https://learn.unitedforwildlife.org/
