Fontawesome icon filter has been updated to work with FontAwesome 4.4 The fontawesome icon filter allows you to use fontawesome icons in your Moodle course if you are using a FontAwsome equipped theme (like Essential, Elegance, Shoehorn, Shoelace, BCU).
This filter allows you to add FontAwesome icons to anywhere you have a text box in Moodle. Font Awesome gives you scalable vector icons that can instantly be customized — size, color, drop shadow, and anything that can be done with the power of CSS.
More information about fontawesome can be found here. Check out this open (guest access) moodle course to see some examples of this filter in action:
font-awesomePlease note that FontAwesome have changed their naming conventions. If you are upgrading from the previous version of this filter you will need to update your syntax to the new “fa-” methodology.
You can download the fontawesome icon filter from the Moodle plugins database here. The filter is supported from Moodle 2.7 onwards and is currently maintained by Usman Asar.
