Essential theme’s stable version 2.9.1 has been released for Moodle 2.9 by the current Maintainer Gareth J Barnard.
Essential theme which has been termed as the Safest theme in the Moodle forums, is a very popular theme and many site administrators are eagerly waiting for the release of a stable version so that they can upgrade their Moodle sites to Moodle 2.9 version.
Acc. to the release notes, the changes in the new version 2.9.1 are:
