Gareth Barnard has released a non-beta version of Essential theme for Moodle and it now supports Moodle 2.9. Here’s a list of the changes, one of the coolest new features is the alternative colors that you can allow users to select just using the menu.

  • NEW: Fourth alternative colour scheme.

  1. The alternative colours menu was always there, but now there is a fourth and I’ve done a lot of work to tidy this up to be consistent and have less CSS but with the same functionality. There are now more colour settings for the alternative colours that mirror the default ones so that you have even more power.

    All of the work that has happened since the beta is only available in 2.9.1, it would take me lots of time to back-port that to the current which might be the last version for M2.8. Especially with M3.0 on the horizon.

    As with all new releases there is always a bug that you did not spot, so #553 needs to be sorted to solve a minor issue with the current topic.
