Collapsed topics course format has been updated to a new version for Moodle 2.9 and Moodle 3.0
Collapsed topics is a course format plugin for Moodle which allows you to change the default course layout of your Moodle course to solve the issue of the ‘Scroll of Death’ when a course has many topics.
In a recent announcement on Moodle forums, Gareth Barnard the plugin maintainer has posted about the release of the new version of the collapsed topics format. The plugin for Moodle 3.0 is still in RC stage whereas for Moodle 2.9 a stable version is released.

Both versions add an improved  ‘responsive’ feature that supports Bootstrap 2.3.2 at the suggestion of Michael de Raadt.  If you are using older themes then there is a new setting in the Site administration -> Plugins -> Collapsed Topics area.
