Moodle 2.7 (and it’s accompanying minor releases) are scheduled to hit the internet next Monday 5/12 according to a recent post by Michael de Raadt and following the general release calendar of

Post Pages - Post Inline - WIRIS

This set of releases is the last for Moodle 2.4 which will now receive security fixes only.

With Moodle 2.7 there are a few major enhancements and improvements such as Atto text editor and the More and Clean themes as the only that will ship by default. An additional point of interest is that Moodle 2.7 will receive long term support of Moodle HQ. Full release notes are available at
