Here’s a great HD video on Vimeo that showcases one of the ways to fight scroll of death on a Moodle page: adding image links to a label. Simple an effective in a regular course (though recently a commenter did mention that tables could affect accessibility for some students) this is easily accomplished using the Moodle text editor (any version).

I always thought that if you hide a section then it hides all the individual elements inside that section too. That’s always been the case for me.
If the content is hidden then as you know it won’t be available to students.
Sukhwant, I believe that’s still what happens. Rather than “Hiding” the topic section one can just reduce the # of topics visible once the links are made and achieve the same thing (which is highlighted nicely by Mary Cooch in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtHPUh_BaxM)
