Mark Ward (@markdw86)was inspired by a post at which was posing Google Docs as a great benchmark for always on, non-cluttered editing (try making a Google Doc Form and you’ll get a good taste of what the post was shooting for).

With a little ingenuity and CSS Mark was able to prototype a pretty effective demonstration on how this might be instituted and managed at the theme level.  It’s a pretty awesome piece of code which you can see in action at this link:
