Here’s a new course on the MOOCH that doubles as a Moodle features primer (note that the course is not intended to give you the skills to go climb K2).

According to the post on the MOOCH [http://hub.moodle.org/index.php?courseid=497] by creator, Mary Cooch (@Moodlefairy),

This course is designed to be used as part of a Basic Moodle training session -NOT for learning mountaineering! It is a sample “real” course which demonstrates some of Moodle’s features in the context of planning a climbing expedition to Mont Blanc. You don’t need to know anything about climbing to do the course (I don’t!) but it aims to give new Moodlers a good insight into the variety of activities available and how they may be used.

If you’re looking for a course that mimics a real-world use of Moodle it’s a quality example of good navigation, use of activities and resources (forums, choice, video, audio, PDFs, directories, Lesson, Glossary, Wiki and more).
