This news comes from Chris Kenniburg of Dearborn Public Schools in Michigan USA.  The district has been collaborating with the Etherpad Foundation to build a Moodle plugin which has already been submitted to to inclusion in the Plugin Database (as of this posting its release was pending).

You can try it out now though by visiting the blog and heading over to Git.

Installing Etherpad’s Moodle mod requires that you have admin access and have installed Etherpad on your own server.
