The Midwest Moodle Moot in Goshen is now open for registration and the keynote speaker for the event has been announced. The Midwest Moot takes place at Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana–in close proximity to Amish country.
Registration for the event is only $135 until June 17th (thereafter the early bird price will no longer apply and be raised to $180). The event will take place from July 20-22.
According to the site,
The Midwest Moodle Moot is an informal gathering where you will meet people who are interested in education and training and who are eager to make connections and collaborate with others. Choose from a wide range of workshops and plenary sessions led by experienced educators and Moodle users eager to share their knowledge. In the evenings relax and explore the college campus, Goshen’s historic downtown or even experience a traditional Amish meal hosted in an Amish home.
This year the keynote will be given by Steve Midgley (@stevemidgley), Deputy Director of Education Technology at the US Department of Education who will be speaking on the theme “How we will all help each other transform education”.
Many session titles are already posted and Moodle 2.0 seems to be a leading topic of discussion. Check out more topic sessions here.
