At 11am EST Alan November (one of many great speakers) kicks off the 2nd Annual Global Education Conference, while it’s not necessarily Moodle-focused or -related, it does offer a host of professional development, discussions and top-notch presenters and keynote from around the world. GEC is hosted entirely on Elluminate/Wimba (now Blackboard Collaborate) and will continue through this week. There are 100s of sessions focused on all sorts of educational topics, including many focused on online learning (some of which will surely have implications for your Moodling).
According to the Press Release,
The second annual Global Education Conference,a week-long event bringing together educators and innovators from around the world, will be held Monday, November 14 through Friday, November 18, 2011…
The Global Education Conference is a collaborative, world-wide community initiative involving students, educators, and organizations at all levels. It is designed to significantly increase opportunities for building education-related connections around the globe while supporting cultural awareness and recognition of diversity.
The conference seeks to present ideas, examples, and projects related to connecting educators and classrooms with a strong emphasis on promoting global awareness, fostering global competency, and inspiring action towards solving real–world problems. Through this event, it is our hope that attendees will challenge themselves and others to become more active citizens of the world.
