Shawn Brandt’s Screenr stream is teeming with great Moodle and other tech videos and how to’s (check out out past post highlighting his vast collection: link).  This latest video highlights how to prevent the deluge of emails from very active forums within Moodle.  As many users already know, the number of single emails received corresponds to each post made from a subscribed forum.  Changing a user settings and unsubscribing from un-needed forums is a great way to cut down on the emails in your inbox daily but managing the forums and not allowing subscriptions is yet another way to prevent an deluge of emails.

  1. Hi everybody,

i just want to add that you can also change your subscribe settings in your profile. You can set ‘Email digest type’ to ‘Complete (daily email with full posts)’ so you only get one email per day.
